Ostara - A Poem by N'Mier LaVeau

Buds, bursting pink, pale and blush

Wet, babbling, nourishing tides

Lush, green, enthralling spectrals of life anew

Round beginnings of fruit blossoms

Breeze, stealing kisses and caressing the senses

Under the warming sun, our lover dances

She has moved beyond waking

She is full, alive, abundant

Her arms open, inviting her lover to dance and settle into her

Her fingertips reachout to begin the worship

Her hills, valleys and song, irresistible

Everything we have been waiting, hoping for, she is

We surrender willingly, panting and anxious to feel the relief she promises after the last of the frost recedes

We nestle into her darker depths

Exchanging seed for berry and crop

We nestle, taking up the dance of life once more, with our eternal lover

Tomorrow may come the harvest, but today we are dancing
