Let’s dwell on Pisces, and explore the astrological reasons why Goddess worship may have lost popularity during this Age.
To truly understand a cycle that reaches beyond the bounds of recorded history, we must first explore similar periods that we can see clearly. The Goddess cycles with the moon, and the seasons, as well.
We see the maiden in the waxing moon, the mother is the full moon, and the crone is the waning moon. However, who is the Goddess during the dark moon? How does she miraculously go from crone to maiden?
The seasons are similar. The Goddess is a maiden in the spring, mother in the summer, and crone in the fall. Who is she during winter, when she spends time in the underworld, during the time of introspection, and inner growth?
If the Goddess reawakens in the spring and at the new moon, why do we not celebrate her sleep? I know that as a mother, it can be very unsettling for my children for me to be asleep and unavailable to them. Could we deny the sleeping Goddess, because we do not wish to be without her?
If it is possible for the Goddess to sleep during the dark of the moon, and during winter, then it is probable that this cycle would extend to all cycles; as above, so below.
Pisces is the last age of the Astrological Wheel, putting it cyclically in the same place as winter, and the dark moon. Pisces is ruled by Neptune and is the sign of dreams, illusion, mystery, and deception. Those ruled by Pisces are the most susceptible to drug and alcohol abuse because of a strong desire to escape the harshness of mundane reality.
Pisceans are also known to love their sleep and private, alone time. It is the sign of eternity, reincarnation and spiritual rebirth. More than any other sign, Pisces would be the most likely sign to embrace the Goddess in her slumber.
Of course, it may empower those who feel victimized to believe that Dad killed Mom, and he should be punished for it. However, if Mom was just taking a nap, and now she is awake, then we do not have anyone to direct negativity at, and in retrospect owe Dad a bit of gratitude for doing the best he could under the circumstances.
Through understanding the Law of Karma, we know it is a normal and natural process for the Goddess, and possibly the entire matriarchy, to rest in Pisces and be reborn in the Aquarian Age. We can stop looking for external validation and let go of any hatred towards men, Christians, or any other group that has been blamed for responding to the spiritual vibration of Pisces.
Is there any wonder the world is in the state it is in today? Do you remember when you were a kid, and your mother went off to see relatives for the weekend? What became of the house while she was gone? The God aspect is vital and necessary for many great things, but neither can function properly without a balance between the two.
Each Age has powerful lessons for us to learn.
